Supplement to Jubilee 2000, focuses on the interpretive problem that has prevented theologians from foreseeing how “the abomination that makes desolate” will unfold. This document fits in, when you study Jubilee 2000, late in that document, where instructed, where you would normally come to Daniel 11:40 – 42, which is the problem text noted above. This whole Supplement document is necessary to properly remove the problem and open the rest of Daniel 11 to historical interpretation. Note well: it is preconception that has prevented its interpretation till now. It is now time to unfold the rest of this chapter of Daniel, for God has stated, in the third chapter of the prophet Amos, verse 7, “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets.” It is time!
Scripture text: Mt. 24, verse 15.
Title: Supplementary study to the “abomination of desolation” study called “Jubilee 2000 – What was it really all about?” (Add later, where instructed, late in that document.)
In chapter 11 of the book of Daniel, there is what can only be called a “parenthetical section,” beginning at verse 40. Verses 36 to 39 dwell on the characteristics of the “little horn” power, up through the Dark Ages. Verses 40 to 42, this parenthetical section, (…..) interrupts to tell more about the kings of the north and of the south, dealing specifically with the history of the beginning of “time of the end.” Expositors agree that “the time of the end” began in 1798, at the end of the 1260 years (a time, times, and an half) as revealed by Daniel 12, verses 4 and 7. This parenthetical section has been misunderstood for centuries, and has been a major stumbling block to the revelation of the “abomination of desolation.” Matthew 24:15.
The problem developed because it was noted that most of Daniel 11 is concerned with the king of the north versus the king of the south, and vice-versa, many times over. This led to the preconception that there were only those two powers in v. 40, which caused these parenthetical verses, as well as the remainder of the chapter, to be confusing as history was applied to them. Our theologians keep trying to make the king of the north the Papacy, because they also only see two powers in verse 40.
Here is the key that unlocks the prophecy, and makes it easily fit the history. Expositors have held that the Papacy (the “little horn”) couldn’t be fitted into this parenthetical section as the king of the north; therefore, they say, the rest of the chapter cannot be about the Papacy. The king of the south was always Egypt, and the king of the north, at 1798, had been the Turks for nearly 350 years and continued till 1840!
The key to correct understanding of the section is that there are, beginning all the way back in verse 30, three powers on the scene instead of just two! In verse 30, the king of the north, the Roman Emperor Constantine, back in 321 A.D., became a Catholic Christian, and “had intelligence with them that forsake the Holy Covenant” (the Ten Commandments, kept in “the ark of the Covenant”). Between them, the Emperor and the bishop of Rome connived to unite the Pagan and Christian peoples of the whole empire by thinking to change the 4th Commandment of God; by making the universal day of worship Sunday in place of the Sabbath! – See Dan.7:25. By 325 A.D., this same bishop instituted worship of an idol (image) of MARY, forbidden by the 2nd Commandment, for the same purpose!
In 330 A.D., Constantine moved his capital to Constantinople, his new capital city (now Istanbul in the East) and left the Western empire to the bishop of Rome! Whether or not it was in punishment of the Roman Empire for instigating this change of the Sabbath, the barbarian tribes then began their conquests which broke up the Western Roman Empire into the 10 divisions we know as “the 10 horns.” Nearly 200 years after 321 A.D., the bishop of Rome had begun to win over the Pagan leaders of these tribes to Catholic Christianity. In 508 A.D., Clovis, the king of the Franks (now France) became a Catholic Christian and used his armies to stand on the part of the bishop of Rome. (Daniel 11, verse 31 – “And arms shall stand on his part.”) We know this is what is referred to here because the parallel passage in Daniel 12, verse 11 (note the “taking away of the daily” in both verses) tells us that it was at the beginning of the 1290 days that the “abomination that maketh desolate” was set up. 30 years before the 1260 days begin (with the decree of the Eastern Emperor Justinian, from Constantinople, that the pope was to be the head of the church, and “the corrector of heretics,”) this king of the Franks began to “set up” the “abomination that maketh desolate.”
Therefore, by verse 31, there are 3 powers on the scene from that time forward! – the king of the north – in 330 A.D. the Roman Emperor; the king of the south – Egypt; and, the third, the bishop of Rome! Eventually, the bishop of Rome became the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire! – a “beast” (a great king.) By verse 36, he is “the king” – neither king of the north, nor king of the south! That is another key that unlocks the prophecy from verse 40 to verse 42. The bishop of Rome is “the king!” (v. 36).
At “the time of the end,” (v. 40) which began at the end of the “time, times and an half” of Daniel 12:7, which expositors agree was 1798, we must see 3 powers or kings. The history of the Papal “mortal wound” cannot be passed over unmentioned in a historical treatment of the year of the beginning of “the time of the end” – 1798! The Papacy is the third power!
In 1798, that very year, Napoleon became the king of the south, Egypt! He conquered Egypt in that year. And this new king of the south, in the same year, “pushed at,” not the king of the north, but “the king” of verses 36 to 39, the pope of Rome! (When we look up the key word “push” in the Concordance, to compare line with line, we find 1st Kings 22:11, where Ahab and Jehoshaphat, kings of Israel in its divided form, are told by a false prophet that they would “push” – meaning destroy – their enemy with a set of iron horns that the prophet had made for his illustration of how they would defeat their enemy. Instead, to “push at” their enemy did not result in destroying their enemy, but resulted in their own defeat. That is the end result of what happened to Napoleon!) Napoleon sent his general, Berthier, to conquer Rome, and he took the pope captive and exiled him expecting thereby to destroy the Papacy. He removed from the pope his kingdom (his mortal wound – Revelation 13, verse 3) and his power to persecute. The pope died in exile. But…a new pope was elected in Rome, and France couldn’t prevent it from happening!
This pope was not then a king (a great “beast”) but he was still head of the Catholic faith. Napoleon’s “push” didn’t destroy his enemy, the Papacy. In the same year, 1798, the Ottoman Turkish Empire, which had been the king of the north for almost 350 years, declared war against Napoleon because Egypt had long been a semi-dependency of the Ottoman Empire, which it was unwilling to lose. This king of the north thereafter “came against him (the king of the south – Napoleon) like a whirlwind, with chariots, with horsemen, and with many ships” and “overflowed and passed over,” and “entered into the glorious land” (Judea) and, “the land of Egypt shall not escape.” Napoleon lost Egypt back to the Turks. The loss of Egypt back to the king of the north effectively ended the back and forth struggle between the kings of the north and the south and is the end of the parenthesis to do with “at the time of the end.”
From verse 43 on, they have no relevance in the Biblical record, and the record returns to what “the king” – the pope – was to accomplish by the end of the 20th century. Verse 45 will soon be fulfilled!
A parenthesis is an interruption to a line of thought. Whenever you have such an interruption, a writer (like myself) recognizes that you must re-read the whole paragraph, without the parenthetical interruption, realizing that what goes before the interruption, and what follows the interruption, are fully one line of thought. Thus, vs. 43 to 45 of Daniel 11 continue to be about “the king” introduced in v. 36, the Papacy.
The “But” that begins verse 43 directs our view back to “the king” of the verses before the parenthesis, the pope of Rome. We skip history all the way until the return to power of the Papacy, as his “mortal wound” was healed, in 1929. (Thus we skip past even World War 1, to when Mussolini gave the pope a kingdom – the Papal States within the city of Rome – in exchange for financial support for his fascist movement in Italy!). The pope was once again a “beast” – a soon-to-be-great king once more.
In the Second World War, the pope allied himself, behind the scenes, to Hitler! As Hitler conquered, he shipped the art treasures and gold and silver, and “the precious things of Egypt,” to the pope of Rome! This is documented in Nazi films taken during the war! These films were aired on the Knowledge Network on Television, including the following: The Libyans and the Ethiopians were “at his steps” (made Catholic; and Sabbath-keepers were harried out of those lands by Hitler’s army!). An Ethiopian man testified the truth of this to me personally! His family escaped to Canada.
But, news of Atheism developing in the east and in Russia caused “him” (the pope) to encourage Hitler to attack Russia, to make them “at his steps” also, and the Scriptures charge the pope (“the king”) with “going forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many,” – through arms that “stand on his part” from verse 31 on! The pope’s next move is verse 45, where he “accomplishes the indignation” (verse 36) which is the “abomination that maketh desolate.” (Matthew 24:15) He shall soon “come to his end, and none shall help him.”
Additional Note: The “taking away of the daily” was accomplished by the Papacy by instituting a mortal human priesthood to take the place of Jesus as our Priest in the heavenly Sanctuary. The “daily” is the ministry of Jesus in the heavenly Temple as our mediator before God! It is to Him we are to “confess our sins, and He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9. The “polluting the Sanctuary of strength” over time was accomplished by the popes by replacing Christ with MARY as intercessor!
This completes the supplement and gets us past the stumblingblock text of Daniel 11, vs. 40-42.

#07_02 Jubilee 2000 – Its Real Meaning, reveals how close to readiness the “man of sin” is, to take that plan into implementation. What prophecy relates to this stupendous event? Daniel, in Chapter 11, and Jesus, in Matthew 24, agree together about how the Papacy will take control of the New World Order!

Title: Jubilee 2000 – What was it really all about?
Good Morning! I usually teach somewhat meaty material, and today is no exception. So please get yourself into your best thinking mode; as if you were at a Camp-meeting. How long is time going to go on? What will be the sign that it is time for the “loud cry” of the Third Angel? What will wake us up??
In the parable of the ten virgins, in Mt. 25, all of the virgins slumbered and slept, waiting for the Bridegroom, whose coming was delayed. None of us would dispute that our church, which is represented by the 10 virgins, has been sleeping for a long period of time, a number of generations, waiting for our wake-up call. Where does the wake-up call come from in the parable? It’s from inside the house, isn’t it? A watchman inside the house raises the call, “Arise, the Bridegroom cometh!” Then those who had the extra oil (had filled themselves, through Holy Spirit’s illumination, with the knowledge of the 3 Angel’s Messages; plus new prophetic truth as history unfolds) arose, trimmed their lamps, and joined the procession to the wedding feast, joyfully lighting the way to the Bridegroom’s home. Listen carefully today. I may have for you your wake-up call!
The Lutherans went as far as Luther did, and reformed no further. The Calvinists, Methodists, etc., etc. did the same; and thus the people have divided the Christian Church into many denominations. Have we gone as far as Mrs. White and our pioneers of the faith, and failed to go forward ourselves? How long has it been since you searched out Bible prophetic truth as the history has unfolded? Remember this interpretive principle: “Prophecy is History before it happens!” Has history happened that opens new truth?
Today, we’re going to look at a prophecy (new truth) and work it out together! We often speak of the prophecies of Jesus Himself about the end times, in Mt. 24. A favorite one is, “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come.” That’s from Matthew 24, verse 14. But what about the very next verse? Verse 15: “When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whoso readeth, let him understand) then, let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains.”
Was this fulfilled by the 70 A.D. destruction and desolation of Jerusalem and Judaea? Most Christians today are fully convinced that it was. But we will see today that Jesus mingled His prophecy of the destruction of Jerusalem and of the end of the world because A.D. 70 was only partly His focus. We are going to today discover that there will be a 3rd desolation of Jerusalem and Judaea!
Actually, only Luke focused specifically on the A.D. 70 desolation of Jerusalem, yet with verse 21 using exactly the same words as Mt.24, v.16 – “Then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains…” Luke’s v.20 statement is entirely different from Mt.24:15. It says, “And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.” This was exactly fulfilled in A.D. 70, and the Christians who heeded the warning, who were within the Holy City, escaped when they saw that sign!
But A.D. 70 was not the “abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet” of Mt. 24 and Mk.13! How Luke’s source heard his specific prophetic words, while Matthew personally heard the prophetic words he wrote, may simply be because perhaps even more was said by Jesus on the subject, but Holy Spirit brought recall of the two different prophecies to two different people when the authors wrote them down, for two different audiences!
As we will see, the Matthew 24 and Mark 13 prophecy is for us, in the end times! As surely as Jesus came the first time, right on time, according to Daniel’s 69 week prophecy (Dan.9:25) so also “the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet” will come to pass! When and how it will come to pass is our quest today. Do you know? Are you watching for it? How should you “watch and pray” as Jesus warned? May I suggest that you actually need to watch the news on TV every day, with carefulness, and prayerfulness, to catch the signs of the times? What is the Biblical “beast” up to lately? He’s very often in the news. We need to pray that we will not be deceived by the signs coming upon the world. According to Jesus, Himself, we also need to know when to…”Run for the hills!”
“When you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet…” First, in order to answer our questions, we note that it is spoken of by Daniel. Now; how do you find out where in the book of Daniel that the verses are which speak of this “abomination?” You apply “line upon line” using a Concordance, don’t you. Note: There is more than one reference to it. The second one is usually missed by those who do not use “line upon line!” A third one, Daniel 9:27, uses the PLURAL “abominations.” It refers to A.D. 70, but is found in a different place in the Concordance!
Someone with a Concordance in the back of your Bible please look up the other two texts that use both words, while I explain the meaning of the two key words, “abomination” and “desolation.” In my large Funk and Wagnall’s Dictionary, “abomination” is defined as “something to be loathed, or causing revulsion, or extreme disgust.” It goes on to include, “something that offends the moral values.”
“Desolation” is defined as “the act of making desolate…of laying waste; ruined and deserted.” For a Biblical example, the taking of the city of Jerusalem and its people into captivity by Babylon (in Daniel’s time) was because of their “abominations” (2 Kings 21:11) and they became a “desolation” (2 Kings 22:19).
Therefore, “the abomination of desolation” is an event or action which causes loathing in the eyes of God, and, as it did in Daniel’s time, causes God to act to destroy Jerusalem and Judea because of the abomination.
Sodom and Gomorrah were an abomination to the Lord, and He finally destroyed them, Himself. Leviticus 18:22 says, “Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination.” And Lev.20:13 says, “…they shall surely be put to death.” Therefore, we can look for something to happen that is so loathsome to God that He will put up with it no longer, and the “time of trouble such as never was, since there was a nation” will swiftly follow.
At the beginning of that time, as I see it, the “loud cry” will happen (see Early Writings, pages 85 and 86). Let’s get into it. Have you found the other two verses in Daniel from your Concordance? The first one is? …Daniel 11:31 (read). “They shall place the abomination…” Most other versions translate this, “They will “set up” the abomination…” The latter translation is probably the clearer one, because our second, and only other verse containing both key words, in Daniel, is parallel, but more definitive.
Where is the second one found? Daniel 12:11 (read). This verse tells us that the abomination that makes desolate was “set up” at the beginning of “one thousand two hundred and ninety days.” – 1290 years. The “taking away of the daily” (“sacrifice” is an inappropriate added word – therefore italicized) in each text assures us that they are parallel texts, both speaking about the same year of fulfillment. Both texts speak of the setting up of the “abomination;” one in its historical setting, the other leading us to an historical date.
NOTE THIS WELL – Daniel chapter 11 is the most literal prophecy (NOT SYMBOLIC prophecy) in the two prophetic books that deal with the end time – Daniel and Revelation. Daniel 11 goes king by king (and some queens are mentioned too, so that it is clear where we are in history) down through literal history. You can even find Cleopatra and Antony! (Daniel 11:17 to 19).
Our first text about “the abomination that maketh desolate,” verse 31, fits into that history when the king of the Franks, king of one of the ten barbarian kingdoms after the breakup of the Roman Empire, became a Catholic Christian and used his army to support the bishop of Rome against his enemies, the followers of a priest called Arius.
Our second text about “the abomination that maketh desolate,” leads us to the date when that happened! (a time prophecy). All the way from v. 30 to the end of the chapter is about the rise and final coming “to his end” of the Papacy (re-read this statement).
The parallel text in Dan.12:11 works off the “time, times, and the dividing of time” of Dan.7:25; which Revelation 12, verse 14 compared with verse 6, reveals is 1260 days or years. The 1260 days began when the pope was empowered to persecute true Christians as “the corrector of heretics” by Justinian’s decree. This extends from 538 A.D. to 1798. Then the Papacy received its mortal wound, not healed till 1929, over a century later.
So, obviously, the 1290 days must extend back 30 years, rather than past the 1260 days. Also, our text refers to the setting up of the Papacy, 30 years before he received the power to persecute.
Therefore, extending back 30 years from 538, we come to 508 A.D. Yes, that was the very year that Clovis, king of the Franks, became a Catholic Christian and his “arms (armies) stood on his (the bishop of Rome’s) part.” Since the date referring to the setting up of the Papacy as the abomination that maketh desolate was 508 A.D., Jesus was not referring to the 70 A.D. desolation of Jerusalem and Judea when He directed us to Daniel to find the abomination that maketh desolate! That abomination – the Papal “little horn” power, would be “set up” at the beginning of the 1290 days, well over 4 centuries later, in 508 A.D.!
This desolation is still to come, because of an action that is an abomination to God, accomplished by the “man of sin,” the little horn power.
The “man of sin” is to continue till Jesus comes, and be destroyed “with the brightness of His coming.” 2 Thess.2:8. Therefore, the “abomination of desolation” must be very close to the last thing that will happen before Jesus comes!
Jesus said that it is Daniel that speaks about the abomination of desolation standing in the Holy Place. So, our mystery text is not yet found. We must continue to apply history to the rest of Daniel, chapter 11, from Daniel 11:30 on. In verse 30, Constantine, Emperor of Rome, became a Catholic Christian , and “had intelligence with them that forsake the Holy Covenant.” (the 10 Commandments in the Ark of the Covenant).
In that year, 321 A.D., the bishop of Rome conferred with the Emperor about how to unite the Roman Empire, and the two of them decided to change the worship day of Christianity to Sun-day, the first day of the week, the day of the Pagan worship of the Sun, from the 4th Commandment Sabbath, the seventh day of the week (thus forsaking the Holy Covenant)!
In Judgment against them, God caused the 10 tribes from the north to break up the Roman Empire into the 10 horn-kingdoms. Not till nearly 200 years after 321 A.D., did the bishop of Rome succeed in making Clovis, king of the Franks, a Catholic Christian, who “set up” the “abomination that maketh desolate.” (verse 31).
From verse 30 through to verse 45, the end of the chapter, we read about the “little horn” power, (the “man of sin”) down to his end. This text is parallel to Revelation 13:5-7, where this king is the infamous “beast.” In Daniel 11:36-39, we see his characteristics clearly laid out for us. It can only be the Papacy, as we shall see. (read verses 36-39).
Verses 37 to 39 need some historical commentary. “Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers” – he takes Jesus’ place; …”nor the desire of women” – marriage not allowed for priests or nuns; …”nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all” – even thinking to change the 10 Commandment Law of God!
“…But in his estate shall he honour the god of forces” – oppression of those who resist him; …”and, a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.” – MARY, his “image!” “Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory.” He has made her mediator in place of Jesus!
Here, insert and read again the document: 07_01.
Now we need to drop back to verse 36, to notice an important clue to finding the “abomination of desolation.” The last part of verse 36 – “…and [he] shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished.” The Papacy would prosper till he accomplishes the final indignation against God, causing the abomination by Israel that God will not put up with!
Daniel 12:1 begins with the arising of Jesus to destroy because of the abomination; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that same time: but His people are delivered!
So the last verse of Daniel 11:45, must be the “abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet!”
Now we must compare what the “beast” was up to, January 1st, 2000, from the news, as well as from the definitive Catholic book that outlines the plans of the pope at that time, John Paul II; The Keys of This Blood, with Daniel 11:45, to understand what the “abomination of desolation” is! Read verse 45. Two clues are given to the location that the pope shall plant his tents (temporary location) of his palace (government) in.
First: “between the seas.” If you look at a map of the Middle East (which the Bible is usually concerned with) you will see that it is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, the Caspian Sea, the Black Sea, the Persian Gulf, and the Red Sea.
Our second clue is much more specific, to the Bible student. It shall be “in the glorious holy mountain.” Where is the “glorious holy mountain?” Is it Sinai? Is it the Mount of Olives? For the Bible student, the only way to know for sure is to compare “line with line.”
If you look up the key words “holy mountain” in a Concordance, you will find Daniel 9, verse 16, which makes it clear. In Daniel’s long prayer of Daniel 9, he says to God, “O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain.” There it is. “Thy city Jerusalem” is “thy holy mountain.” It is the glorious holy mountain where the supreme revelation of the glory of God, His love for us His creatures, was lifted up upon a cross!
According to Daniel, Jerusalem is still God’s holy mountain at our point in history! This is the “holy place” we are to understand from the Mt. 24 text! – not the Temple Holy Place of a temple supposed yet to be built!
So, Daniel 11, verse 45, can now be paraphrased thus: “And the pope shall plant the tents [temporary location] of his palace [his government] in Jerusalem, God’s glorious holy mountain: yet the pope shall come to his end, and none shall help him.”
This is the abomination which God will not put up with, for the pope, who represents idol worship (of MARY) and Christianized Sun-worship (see Ezekiel chapter 8) is uniting all religions of the world under himself. For the (past) 20 years of his own Pontificate, John Paul II sought to unite Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox Christians, Jews, and Moslems, all under himself as supreme head of all religions. Jerusalem is where all this will be done!
The book The Keys of This Blood also reveals that he was in full contention for the leadership of “the New World Order,” using the geopolitical system of the Catholic (Papal) church. The other two contenders are America allied with Western Europe (NATO) with their market system and democratic political system; and Russia, with its market system and socialist political system. Neither of these two is world-wide (geopolitical) as the Catholic Church is, and, the Papacy has done it before, during the Dark Ages, using its trump card, being head of religion!
For 20 years, pope John Paul II had planned to go to Jerusalem, January 1, 2000, to set himself up as both supreme head of all of these major religions represented there, (in a celebration he called Jubilee 2000) as well as leader of the New World Order (a temporary location for his “palace” – his government!) because Y2K was the perfect vehicle to destroy the old World Order so that a new one could be inaugurated.
But: the Jews and Arabs (Moslems) were not on side by January 1, 2000. The New World Order is not yet his, nor do the Jews and Moslems accept the pope as the head of all religions.
The January 1st Jubilee was cancelled by the pope and his twice delayed arrival in Jerusalem, March 22, 2000, became only an official “Papal visit.” Y2K fizzled, and so did the pope’s Jubilee Celebration!
People, Daniel’s prophecy about the “abomination that maketh desolate” almost happened January 1st 2000!! We have had early warning that it is soon to come to pass, and Holy Spirit has used these events to cause us to unfold Daniel 11, now, when it is about to come to pass, (See Amos 3:7 to understand why) so that we can now finally prove that verse 45 is speaking about the Papacy and Jerusalem.
A pope, maybe not this one (in fact I think most likely not this one) will go to Jerusalem as head of all faiths, to declare himself also the head of the New World Order, fulfilling the requirements of the prophecy!
When the Jews receive him as “the Vicar of the Son of God,” that he claims to be, that will be an indignation to Jesus! Then the prophetic statement of Jesus in Matthew 24, verse 15, will be fulfilled!
Watch, pray, and study, to see if these things will be so! Pray that your faith in the Bible as the Word of God, will help you to prepare people for the day the pope will fulfill this prophecy by Jesus Himself! We are the people raised up by God to be His remnant church, who “keep the Commandments of God, and have the faith of Jesus.” We are the people God has raised up to proclaim the 3 Angel’s Messages: and this prophecy is heavily connected to those Messages!
It is time to wake up! More, it is time to work with Holy Spirit to fill yourself with the knowledge of the details of everything that has to do with the 3 Angel’s Messages (our Message is large – it is filled with many Bible prophecies and truths that we must reveal). If this study is correct (study it carefully to “see if these things will be so!”) you have new oil (light) to add to your “flask of oil for your light” that will help you to be able to join the procession to the wedding feast, joyfully lighting the way to the Bridegroom’s home! Please, be a wise virgin! Prepare for the Coming of the Bridegroom! Trim your lamps, and add this oil (Holy Spirit revealed new truth)!

As we will see in this document, the warning of Jesus to the Christians in Jerusalem and Judaea to flee to the mountains (Mt.24:15) will have a counterpart for all true Christians, who keep the Commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus. Those who understand prophecy for that time, and thus know what is coming, know that the New World Order will be used to persecute those that are carrying the Three Angel’s Messages in the Loud Cry. How will we survive when we can neither buy nor sell (make a living)? Where will we flee when faced with a death decree over worship of “the image of the beast?” Will these things stop our Message?
This document may start your preparation for that time! Run for the Hills! When do we need to “Run for the hills?” Let’s look into it. When “the abomination that makes desolate” enters Jerusalem, by invitation, especially by the Jews, it is an “indignation” to Jesus, because they will have welcomed the pope into God’s Holy Mountain as the representative for Jesus on earth! He is not the vicar (representative) of Jesus. He is, instead, the arch-enemy of Jesus! He is not the apostolic succession, with the keys to the kingdom, and power to “bind or release” in Jesus’ name, given to Peter. Therefore, he cannot claim to forgive sins, nor excommunicate people in Jesus’ name.
He is an idolater – whose image is Mary. Her images are everywhere around us in both Catholic and some Protestant homes. He has thought to change times (the prophetic times that point him out as the “man of sin,”) and the Law – (the Law of God – the Ten Commandments.) Daniel 7, verse 25. He is an abomination, who represents idol worship, of Mary; the changing of the Law of God (the Ten Commandments); the claim that he himself is god; and the instigator of false worship, of the sun-god, by keeping sun-day.
Yet, his mortal wound has been healed, which he received in 1798, because the people have accepted him back as all of these things and more, as they wonder after the “beast.” Soon, he will be the acclaimed leader of the New World Order; a super-dictatorship of the whole earth, allied with the political powers of the whole world.
Separation of church and state is NOW almost removed, even here in North America. When he goes to Jerusalem, by invitation, especially by the Jews, who “ought not” receive him (Mark 13, verse 14 – “When you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand) then let them that be in Judea flee to the mountains.”) it will be an indignation to Jesus! Why? They will make an alliance with this imposter, instead of with their true God, Jesus, to protect them from their enemies all around them!
To many, this is the cue that it is almost time to “Run for the hills” here in North America. Very soon after he takes the rule of the New World Order, the latter half of Revelation 13 will come to pass. We will first be forced to worship Mary’s image, then we will be boycotted – not allowed to buy or to sell – make a living – unless we receive his “mark,” his false Sabbath. We must prepare to “run for the hills” just prior to the day the American government proclaims that we must worship the “image” of the “beast” or die! Revelation 13:15.
What will be our cue, if not when he is invited to go to Jerusalem to set himself up as the leader of the New World Order (because he claims to be the representative of Jesus on earth)? People, it will be when Satan generates an apparition of Mary in the heavens above us, as the woman of Rev. 12, verse 1! That is the work of “the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty” – Armageddon! Revelation 16:14 to 16. Read all about it in our next study, The Event that will Fission Human History!
That’s when we need to “run for the hills!” It will be too late when legislation to enforce Mary worship is in place. The apparition of Mary precedes the pope’s going to Jerusalem to set himself up as the leader of the New World Order. She is his trump card!
With that realization, we need next to consider, how do we survive, when we “run for the hills?” I believe that Jesus has given us instruction, in the instruction given to His disciples as He sent them out to proclaim the Message for that time. This instruction is found in three of the gospels. I recommend that you study all three, carefully seeking details of His instruction. The passages are Matthew 10, verse 1, verses 7 to 20, and verses 22 to 42: those in Mark chapter 6, verses 7 to 13: and finally, those in Luke chapter 9, verses 1 through 6.
Let’s begin in Mark 6:7-13. First, he sent them out two by two. Not alone. This is important, for two support one another, by prayer and by knowledge of our Message. Take nothing for your journeys, save a staff only: no Scripture pieces (you will work with their Bibles: weather would ruin yours.) no food nor money (you must depend upon believers supplying your needs.). Wear appropriate shoes, but do not put on two coats: your needs will be supplied. When you enter into a house, there abide till you decide to depart from that place.
Here, skip to Matthew 9:7. As you go, preach, saying, “the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” But I want to direct you to probably the most important instruction for our flight. Mt. 9:11: “Into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy [as you are preaching the Message] and there abide till ye go thence.” Depend on them to provide, “for the workman is worthy of his meat.” [food] Think on this instruction. As we travel, to carry our Message to our corner of the world, we are to go into the more rural places, where farming is done, and seek the home of someone who is “worthy:” someone who is known to be spiritual, someone who believes in the Bible as the word of God, and who might have the resources (especially their own production of food) to provide without depending on the market. You might also stay in a house that does not have those resources, but where another that does, might provide them to that house. Perhaps they might already be being supplied by that other person. Be careful not to restrict where you stay by your own considerations. Seek God’s direction in each case.
I would add that you are to cause the home owner to bring others to his or her home, for Bible study with you. Again, I must admonish that you must know your Message, the four Angel’s Messages, if you would receive the Latter Rain, and if you would seek to serve Jesus. Prepare! Learn your Message!
Realize also, that you must continue to move on when you have witnessed in that area and left your blessing. Continuing in Matthew: verse 12: “And when ye come into an house, salute it.” [The salutation you speak when you enter a worthy house, is, “The peace of our Lord Jesus be upon your household.”] “And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.”
Thus you will find and teach believers, and their neighbourhood, or, if rejected by all in that area, you will have to journey on. We are sent to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. Luke 9:2. So, back to Mark 6:13, we may “cast out devils” [turning people to righteousness] and we are to “anoint with oil many that are sick, and heal them.” See James 5:14 to 16. Further, our health message will do much to help and bless the people we visit.
Note verse 12, “And they went out, and preached that men should repent.” Our message will call the people of God out of Babylon, to reject Sunday worship and idol worship of Mary and thus repent, and “keep the Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus” [in the Bible as the Holy Word of God], and receive “the testimony of Jesus Christ.” – mainly prophecy, revealed by Holy Spirit.
Continuing in Matthew 10:16, “Behold,” Jesus says, “I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” Know that you may find your lot to be taken captive and brought before councils; even before governors or kings for Christ’s sake: but be prepared to give a testimony against them and the unbelievers. “But when they deliver you up [maybe even the household you sought to bless] take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.”
You would do well to know the experiences of the Reformers, to be prepared to abide or escape, as Jesus directs. Mt.10:23: “But when they persecute you in this city, [town, village, hamlet] flee ye into another.” Jesus will be coming very soon! It is my prayer that this instruction from Jesus Himself, to us, His disciples, is truly what He wants me to share with you as we approach this momentous time. Amen.

The Event that will Fission Human History, reveals exactly how the Papacy will take control of the New World Order. It is by means of miracles, and supernatural signs, that the pope will convince the world that they should make him the dictator of the New World Order. WATCH OUT! Israel, in prophecy, is coming to its final destruction as a nation as a consequence of what the pope will do as his “ace” that will give him the leadership of the New World Order!
Scripture Text: Daniel 11, verse 45.
Title: The Event that will Fission Human History
Our last two studies, Jubilee 2000 and its Supplement, unveiled “the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet.” Mt. 24:15. As I taught at that time, the pope’s Jubilee 2000 Celebration, to be held Jan. I, 2000, in Jerusalem, as it was supposed to occur, would have fulfilled the prophecy of Jesus. We found that Jesus was pointing to the 3rd desolation of Judea and Jerusalem. Our careful comparative study of Dan. 11:31 with Dan.12:11 revealed that the abomination was “set up” in 508 A.D. So, it is certain that Jesus was speaking of a desolation not yet fulfilled. If the pope had fulfilled the prophecy on Jan.1, 2000, Jerusalem and all of Judea would have been made desolate because of the abomination received into Jerusalem. It didn’t happen on Jan.1 – No apology was made that I know of, but the pope re-scheduled it for March 1. That too passed. Then March 22 was set. All that occurred was a simple Papal visit to Jerusalem, which failed to fulfill the requirements of the prophecy as Jan.1 might have. And, as we watched the news, the pope became more and more aged and feeble.
So, what we are going to look at today is, what will unite all of the kingdoms of the world under the leadership of the “beast?” Listen carefully. Revelation 16:13 and 14, is Jesus’ revelation of how Satan will unite Jew, Moslem, and Christian groups of all sorts, under the leadership of the “beast!” (Read this text here). Out of the mouth of the “beast,” even now, are coming unclean spirits, “like frogs,” which are going forth into all the earth to unite the world’s religions and gather them to the battle against God’s kingdom! They are the spiritualism manifestations, by demons, of MARY, the “beast’s” idol or image! Mary has appeared to large numbers of people world-wide [the pope acclaims them as true] since her grand appearances (once a month for 5 months) at the little village of Fatima in Portugal in 1917, just two years after the death of Ellen White. She would have trumpeted that this was the spiritualism of which she had warned!
Why did Satan manifest an apparition of Mary in such an insignificant village, in Portugal? What was its name? Fatima! How clever Satan is! Fatima is the name of Mohammed’s daughter, who (he wrote in the Koran) was to be second only to Mary in the kingdom of heaven! Already, when the image of Mary of Fatima is paraded, by Catholic processions, in towns of North Africa, the Moslems bow down and worship! She will be the uniting factor for the Moslems!
Revelation 13:13 to 15, tells us that America, mainly Protestant America, will make an image to the “beast,” and worship Mary! Let’s read it. Rev.13:13 to 15. (read). Mary will be the uniting factor here too! What’s left? The Jews. – and let’s not forget the Atheists of Communism. Will the Jews accept Mary? And the Atheists? The pope could not accomplish the acceptance of Papal leadership of all religions and of the New World Order, by all the world. But Mary, yes Mary, as an unclean spirit manifestation, will accomplish it!
It is by the instructions of Mary of Fatima that pope John Paul II organized his entire papacy to accomplish the purpose of Satan to unite all of the religions under the “beast.” We need to see how this came about, and then we will see how Mary will bring the Jews and the Atheists into line! Pope John Paul’s assassination was supposedly prevented, near the beginning of his papacy, by Mary of Fatima! While blessing the crowds in St. Peter’s Square, John Paul II spied a little girl with a picture of Mary of Fatima pinned to her dress. By an unexpected movement of his head toward her as he noticed the picture, two bullets aimed at his head missed, and a third bullet, as the assassin was brought down, only managed to hit him in the abdomen.
It is not widely known that the pope thereafter received ‘tainted blood’ at the nearby hospital they took him to, which gave him Hepatitis. The illness required a lengthy convalescence in hospital. During that convalescence, he, believing he was spared by Mary of Fatima, called for and researched all of the instructions given during the apparitions of Mary at the village of Fatima, with willingness to obey them! His personal proclamation has since been, “Mary, I am all yours!”
In the appearances of Mary at Fatima, prophecy was given by her as well. According to what Catholics have revealed of these prophecies, which were given for the eyes of popes alone, Mary is going to accomplish what pope John Paul II was unable to accomplish by January I, 2000! She will cause all religions to unite under the Papacy!
Where have I found all this information? The book written by a Vatican insider, The Keys of This Blood, by Malachi Martin, is the main source. He explains about the pope’s interest in the New World Order in the most clear way. He tells of pope John Paul’s dedication to Mary of Fatima. He explains the framework John Paul expects to build the New World Order upon. He explains what anyone other than the pope can know of the “three secrets” prophesied by Mary at Fatima. And in his book we find the clue we need, to understand why Jubilee 2000 didn’t quite fulfill the prophecy of Daniel re: “the abomination of desolation.”
The pope himself is waiting for Mary! I read to you from The Keys of This Blood, by Malachi Martin, page 639: “He is a pope who is waiting. That is the essence of his action. And in the meantime, he is busy in all the highways and byways along which the men of his age are moving helter-skelter. They have figured their present onrush as the last stages on the road to a New World Order already in view, a true City of Man, built by Man’s ingenuity, for Man – this, finally, is the avowed goal they forecast for themselves, shimmering on the mountains of the future. John Paul is waiting, but not for that city to be built, in order, as it were, to find out if there will be a place in it for him. He knows it will not be built, at least not as men have configured it. He is waiting, rather, for an event that will fission human history, splitting the immediate past from the oncoming future. It will be an event on public view in the skies, in the oceans, and on the continental landmasses of this planet. It will particularly involve our human sun. But on the day of this event, it will not appear merely as the master star of our so-called solar system. Rather, it will be seen as the glory of the Woman, whom the apostle describes as ‘clothed with the sun’ and giving birth to ‘a child who will rule the nations with a scepter of iron.’
[Continuing] This ‘fissioning event,’ in John Paul’s conviction of faith, will immediately nullify all the grand designs the nations are now forming and will introduce the Grand Design of man’s Maker. John Paul’s waiting and watching time will then be over. His ministry as the Servant of the Grand Design will then begin.” Note the important points: Mary will appear, not as the vile woman of Revelation 17, Babylon the Great, mother of harlots, but rather as the pure woman of Revelation 12, eclipsing the sun, in her grand appearance to all the world, “clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet” How will she “bring forth a man child, who will rule all the nations with a rod of iron?” Another Catholic prophecy says that Mary will proclaim “the day and hour of Christ’s Coming,” thus “bringing forth the man child!”
Who, according to Jesus Himself, alone knows the day and the hour of Christ’s Coming? Only the Father! But by having Mary proclaim the day and hour, all the world would be readied to accept the counterfeit coming of Jesus by Satan himself as Jesus! (See “Great Controversy,” p. 624)! Even the Jews, most of whom have been affected by their having been mingled in either Christian or Muslim societies, will be ready to accept this Jesus. …And the Atheists of Communism? Most of them are already turning back to Catholicism! This master deception, spiritualism and spirit manifestations, like frogs out the mouths of the “beast,” the false prophet (America) and the rest of Satan’s political powers on earth, will gather all nations to the battle against God’s kingdom! (Rev.16:13, 14)
It’s all coming! Very soon! Are you getting ready? January 1, 2000, almost fulfilled Jesus’ prophecy. God has unfolded the stumblingblock text of Daniel 11:40-42 now (see Amos 3:7 to understand why) so that we can now prove that verse 45 is speaking about the Papacy and Jerusalem.
A pope, maybe not this one (in fact I think most likely not this one) will go to Jerusalem as head of all faiths and head of the New World Order, fulfilling the prophecy of Dan.11:45. Watch and pray, people! Pray that your faith in the Bible as the Word of God, will bring you through this deception! We are the people who “keep the Commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus.” He had faith in the Scriptures as the Word of God. By “It is Written” He was able to overcome Satan in the wilderness. We also must answer this spiritualism deception with “It is Written,” and reveal how Satan is having the apparition of Mary twist the Scripture of Revelation 12 to his advantage, just as he tried to twist Scripture when tempting Jesus!
Satan had to reveal his plan to those who worship the “beast,” by having The Keys of This Blood written, so that they would see and believe when Mary appears in her Great Apparition. God has seen fit to have Adventist watchers get access to this book, and find in it the blatant revealing of Satan’s plan, so that we could prepare all true Christians to avoid the deceptions which Satan will use!
Would you like to see the picture that Satan has generated of Mary in this role? Look up “Mary of Guadalupe” on the web, or in an encyclopedia! He generated this picture, according to Catholic sources, in 1530 A.D.!! We have a job to do, proclaiming the 4 Angel’s Messages in their fullness, which will swell into the “loud cry” of the third angel, as the time of trouble commences.
So: “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee!”
Father in heaven, we want to serve You by learning and carrying Your end-time Message to prepare the Way of our Lord Jesus. Please fill us, for indeed Your gift of light for this time is come. May the glory, the character of our Lord be developed in each heart as we allow the Spirit of Prophecy to make us reflect the character of our Lord Jesus! In His Name, and for the sake of His kingdom, we pray, Amen!
Document #07_05: Plagues…or Trumpets?
One prophecy understood always leads to understanding of another. That’s how we arrive at the subject of document #07_05, Plagues or Trumpets? When the Papacy goes to Jerusalem in fulfillment of Daniel 11:45, the JEWS will have allowed the final indignation against their God, the God of Israel. They will officially recognize the pope as the leader of religion in the world, as he arrogantly claims he is, in order to make an alliance with him, because they don’t KNOW that he is the arch-enemy of their true God! TAKE NOTICE: despite thousands of years of study, even meticulous study, of the Scriptures, they have failed to understand the prophecies therein! Why? Read the context of Isaiah 28:9 and 10 (KJV only). The following verses reveal that they, as well as so many (fallen) Christian denominations, have rejected knowledge from Holy Spirit that they might have had, if they had used His PRESCRIPTION for Bible study! If they had used Holy Spirit’s prescription, even a child could have led them to true knowledge that you are learning here from that very resource!
There is not a chapter break between Daniel 11:45, and Daniel 12:1 to 3, in the original writing. It wasn’t in chapters at all! These were added many centuries later. The event in the former verse leads to the events in the latter verses! You can see that when you read them! The indignation leads to the consequences!
Scripture Text: Mt. 24:14-22
Title: Plagues…or Trumpets?
This is the third study of a series on “the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet.” (Mt. 24:15). See Daniel 11:45, which will fulfill this prophecy of Jesus. A supplement study cleared up the stumblingblock text of Dan.11:40 – “At the time of the end…” revealing 3 powers in conflict, not just the king of the north vs. the king of the south. In this study, we will consider what will happen when Jesus “stands up” (Dan. 12:1) in Judgment (see Isaiah chapter 3, verse 13) to destroy because of the abomination of desolation, by “a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation, even to that same time.” (Dan. 12:1.)
We have always thought that the plagues, the Seven Last Plagues, would immediately follow and destroy Rome (Rev. 18:10) when Jesus “stands up,” and then the rest of Dan. 12:1 “…and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book,” shall be fulfilled. Guess again!! Mt. 24:15, all the way at least to v. 22, our Scripture text for today, is about the THIRD destruction of Jerusalem, making Judea desolate (note especially v.16) not Rome!
A.D. 70 was not “the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet,” which would be “set up” at the beginning of the 1290 days, well over 4 centuries later, in 508 A.D.!! So this desolation is still to come! Again I say, NOTE – “the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet” was regarding Judea and Jerusalem, God’s glorious holy mountain, not Rome and its destruction in the Seven Last Plagues!
Therefore: what is it that fulfills the desolation of Jerusalem and Judea? – the Seven Last Plagues, or the Trumpets (Trumpets of warning that the day of Christ is at hand!) of Rev. 8 and 9? Please turn to Rev. 8. Note that it is a known fact that the book of Revelation points back to every book of the Bible to stories or prophecies that illustrate the symbolism of Revelation’s prophecies.
As I studied Revelation 8, Holy Spirit revealed that the Sanctuary service that precedes the Trumpets in Revelation chapter 8 has a parallel Sanctuary service in Ezekiel, referring to the first desolation of Jerusalem and Judea. This, as we will see, ties the first Trumpet to the THIRD desolation of Jerusalem! It opens up new information when viewed as the “standing up” of Jesus to Judge (Isaiah 3:13) foretold in Dan. 12:1.
Read Revelation 8:2-7. You may wonder why I included v. 7, but you will see as we unfold this prophecy. Remember that the trumpets have been fulfilled, once, already, very symbolically, beginning at the break-up of the Roman Empire into the 10 horns. But we will see another more literal fulfillment in the desolation of Judea and Jerusalem at the end of the world! Follow along carefully in your Bible. Rev. 8:3: the angel who comes to the altar, having a golden censer, is Jesus, our High Priest. The time, we will see by His casting the censer, or at least the fire from it, into the earth, is an indication that Judgments from the Sanctuary are to begin. Not yet the close of probation; for the “loud cry” of the three angels of Rev. 14 must help bring people to decision as the time of trouble progresses.
To clarify this, I read to you from Early Writings, pages 85 and 86. “…The commencement of that time of trouble here mentioned, does not refer to the time when the plagues shall begin to be poured out, but to a short period just before they are poured out, while Christ is [still] in the Sanctuary. At that time, while the work of salvation is closing, trouble will be coming on the earth, and the nations will be angry, yet held in check so as not to prevent the work of the third angel. At that time, the “latter rain,” or refreshing from the presence of the Lord, will come, to give power to the loud voice of the third angel, and prepare the saints to stand in the period when the seven last plagues shall be poured out.”
Carefully note the main points: At the commencement of the time of trouble [such as never was since there was a nation], during a short period before the 7 Last Plagues, the “loud voice” [the loud cry!] of the third angel will bring all to decision, before the close of probation and the pouring out of the 7 Last Plagues! Also at that time, the “latter rain” will come! This is really important information! Re-read the above!
From “Last Day Events,” page 238, I add this: “Solemn events before us are yet to transpire. Trumpet after Trumpet is to be sounded; vial after vial poured out one after another upon the inhabitants of the earth.” [from 3SM 426 – 1890.] NOTE: Both are future!
So: let’s look carefully at the Sanctuary service outlined in Revelation 8:2-6. Jesus comes and stands at the altar with His censer. This is the altar of burnt sacrifice, outside the Sanctuary, because only the High Priest can enter the Sanctuary during the Judgment day. Someone there at the altar of burnt sacrifice, gives Him much incense, “that He should offer it with the prayers of all saints.” (Who? Not penitent sinners with offerings for sacrifice: no, all saints). Praying for deliverance? No, the 7 Last Plagues result in deliverance; so this must be for something else, just before the Trumpets sound! This must be prayers for power to endure through the time of trouble! And, prayer for Holy Spirit to be poured out in the Latter Rain! And, prayer for boldness to carry our message to our neighbors as we wake up to our responsibilities as light bearers! See Acts 4:13 compared with Acts 4:24-31 for a Biblical example of such prayer of all saints!
The incense is offered inside the sanctuary, by our High Priest, Jesus, upon the golden altar which is before the throne of the Father. Remember that the vail has been drawn aside since the Judgement Hour began. Verse 4; “And the smoke of the incense, which came with (carries) the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God” out of the hand of Jesus (as He puts the incense upon the coals of fire in the golden altar.) Symbolized here is a mingling of the prayer of Jesus for the saints to the Father, Who is the source of the Latter Rain. The bloody fingerprint of the High Priest is on the horns of the altar of incense. (See Lev.4:18). I believe that the horns of the altar of incense (that I envision look like the horns of a cow today) faced inward, not outward. The blood signature of the High Priest, Jesus, is thus mingled with the smoke of the incense, as it rises and, because of the great amount of incense, the smoke fills the entire Sanctuary, in the Most Holy Place ministration).
What then happens might best be described by pages 54 and 55 of Early Writings. In part it says there, “Those who were bowed before the throne would offer up their prayers and look to Jesus; then He would look to His Father, and appear to be pleading with Him. A light would come from the Father to the Son, and from the Son to the praying company. Then I saw an exceeding bright light come from the Father to the Son, and from the Son it waved over the people before the throne.” Early Writings, 54 and 55.
Now: Rev. 8:5: Jesus took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar (the altar of burnt sacrifice again, where His blood as the Lamb of God was shed and offered, (symbolically) and Jesus casts the fire of the altar (using the censer to throw it) into the earth.
Now, listen carefully to v.7. “The first angel sounded his Trumpet, and there followed hail, and fire mingled with blood and they were cast upon the earth.” What kind of coals of fire (from the altar of burnt sacrifice) did Jesus cast into the earth – v.5? Fire mingled with His blood!! This is the first Trumpet, and, as we will see, will destroy Jerusalem!
In that destruction, Rev. 8:7, “The third part of trees was burnt up: and all green grass was burnt up.” Elijah, in the person of John the Baptist (line upon line) was to “lay the axe to the root of the trees… (Mt.3:10) …therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” Is it possible that trees symbolize churches in Rev.8:7, and green grass symbolizes all the people associated with those churches … that are burned up as Jesus arises to destroy because of “the abomination that makes desolate” Jerusalem, God’s glorious Holy Mountain? (Go to back page for more information).
A principle for interpreting Revelation is that Revelation is always pointing back to some other part of Scripture, which will help clarify what is foretold in Revelation. It has been found that every single book of the Bible is referred to by Revelation! To be certain that this is a section of prophecy referring to the destruction of Judea and Jerusalem, we will therefore compare this Sanctuary scene to its predecessor, in Ezekiel. He is referring to the 1st desolation of Judea and Jerusalem by Babylon, in 586 B.C. Fire, of the altar, is our key word.
“Line upon line” takes us to a parallel Sanctuary service in Ezekiel, chapter 10:2: but we will look at the whole context, all of which is very revealing. Turn to Ezekiel chapter 9:1 and following, which is a scene at the Temple on earth, in actual Jerusalem. We will look at Ezekiel 9:1-7 and 11; then chapter 10:1, 2, 6, and 7. (Read). As in Rev.8, here too a man clothed in linen (priestly garb?) is commanded (after he has finished putting the seal of God on those who are deemed worthy) to take coals of fire, holy fire, and scatter them over the city of Jerusalem to begin it’s destruction!
We are in the sealing time! Just before us is “the time of trouble,” beginning with the desolation of Jerusalem and all of Judea, and the almost total annihilation of the people there, in a Judgment of God from the Sanctuary in heaven!
Ezekiel 12:20 tells us that all of the cities of Judea shall also be laid waste with Jerusalem. All was fulfilled upon Judea and Jerusalem in 586 B.C. You can also be certain that prophets who studied Luke’s account of the prophecy of Jesus regarding the desolation of Jerusalem, also applied Ezekiel’s information as 70 A.D. approached! We too apply the information about the sealing, in Ezekiel 9, to our sealing time, world wide.
Now we must apply Ezekiel 10 to the desolation, the 3rd time, of Jerusalem, which was almost fulfilled in the year 2000!! See Ezekiel 8 for the abominations for which God desolated Jerusalem and Judea the first time. Idol worship, and sun-worship brought into God’s glorious Holy Mountain, is the indignation which causes Jesus to act and destroy, because of the abomination. This 3rd desolation will mark the beginning of “the time of trouble such as never was, since there was a nation.”
In the first Trumpet, I see a firestorm like unto that which destroyed the abomination of Sodom and Gomorrah (See Genesis 19:24,25) – a firestorm likely made up of millions of small meteorites of sulphur (“brimstone” is sulphur) that impact the earth at Judea!
Could it be? Let’s look at the second Trumpet. It supports that conclusion, as you will see. “And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea…” “And the third part of the sea became blood, and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died…” “And the third part of the ships were destroyed.”
“…A great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea…” could easily be the description of an asteroid impact in one of the 3 main oceans on our planet – the Atlantic, the Pacific, or the southern oceans. Guess, which one?
Recent films have been produced, maybe preparing all the world for it to happen, depicting the result of just such an asteroid impact in an ocean! Scientists warn of super destruction; a tidal wave of truly immense proportion crashing into all of the coastal cities either side of that ocean, causing complete destruction of hundreds of coastal cities! Thus also, a third part of the ships in the world’s oceans would be destroyed. [An indication that this is literal, not symbolic].
The secondary result of such an asteroid impact in the sea would be a significant rise in temperature in the waters of that ocean. We now know that can cause an algae bloom, called red tide, which makes the waters like blood in colour and gives off toxic chemicals that would finish off any creatures that had life in that ocean. These Trumpets may this time be “natural disasters” that are literally “acts of God!”
How about the 3rd Trumpet? Rev.8:10 and 11. (Read). Why is this one not said to be “cast” upon the earth or into the sea? It says instead, “…and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp…” A comet would seem most like a lamp traversing the sky as it almost impacts the earth. The scientists tell us that its train or tail is made up of mainly ice meteorites that would rain upon the earth’s atmosphere, worldwide, for a time; drawn away from the comet by Earth’s gravity. The comet would take a number of days to pass by, spreading a rain of giant ice meteorites exploding and burning up in our atmosphere. They say it would cause a combining of nitrogen and oxygen in the atmosphere, which would become a terrible nitric-acid rain that would pollute all water sources. Further, the acid would leach toxic levels of metals from rocks and soils into the water table. “…and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.”
People will fear that if these things keep happening, the whole human race will be wiped out! Upon the earth, Jesus said, (according to Luke 21:25 and 26) ” there shall be distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” This is reference to the Trumpets, isn’t it?
In the 4th Trumpet, the sun, the moon, and the stars are smitten – “the powers of heaven.” Isaiah wrote of this time, “Howl ye: for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty… behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity.” Isaiah 13:6, 9-11.
But take heart, Adventist believers: Jesus says to us, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh!” Luke 21:28.
I highly recommend that you read, The Coming Great Calamity, a book by Marvin Moore, editor of Signs of the Times magazine. His insights are very illuminating about this our time, just before the Trumpets.
The “time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation” is almost upon us!! It will be fulfilled by the Trumpets and the Seven Last Plagues. Prepare yourself! Learn and share our Message of warning from God to the world now, (Rev. 14’s Three Angel Messages) so that God can make you ready for the time of trouble, which almost began in the year 2000!
NOW is the time to let our light shine, and light the way to heaven!
Supplementary Note:
Of the three great religions represented in Jerusalem – Christianity in all its forms (Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant) Muslim, and Jewish; which “third part” will be entirely burned up? Not Christian, because we know that survives till Jesus comes, even despite the Seven Last Plagues. Not Muslim, because they are centered further East at Mecca. No, it will indeed again be the Jews!
The keepers of the Oracles of God will have welcomed idol-worship and Christianized sun-worship into God’s glorious Holy Mountain, for the last time!! For the sake of peace, they will make an alliance with the Papacy to protect them, instead of with God! You must here read the 8th chapter of Ezekiel! Note: sun-worship was their worst abomination! Back then, they had made an alliance with Egypt to protect them from Babylon’s invasion, instead of with God! So, they brought the symbols of Egypt’s gods into the very Temple grounds! – an obelisk – the sun-worship “image of Jealousy” in the entry. The Papacy has done the same to the Temple of God in Rome, which replaced the Jerusalem Temple! – an obelisk in the entry!
Further: what implications does the end of Jewish Israel have for a universal Sunday law? Can you imagine what use the Papacy will make of this obvious Judgment against keepers of the true Sabbath?
Father, help us to stand!
Document #07_06, though very small, confronts the obvious problem. How can we know that a prophecy may be used more than once in history? Have theologians missed a major clue from Daniel 2’s Metal Image Man? We say that the two arms of the image reveals the two powers that make up that part of history. They refer to the Medes and the Persians. Does the fact that there are two legs also have meaning?
The Repetition of Prophecy Principle

The “little horn” of Daniel 8 represents Rome in two phases. 1) the Pagan Roman Empire , and, 2) the Christian Roman Church, [the Spiritual Roman Empire or Holy Roman Empire].
Necessarily, the “transgression that maketh desolate” (Daniel 8:13), also has a 2 phase fulfillment:
1) the military attack by pagan Roman soldiers on Jerusalem in A.D.70, leaving the temple totally destroyed, [“…for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate.” Daniel 9:27] and:
2) the long-continued spiritual teachings of Papal Rome, deflecting worshippers away from Christ’s priesthood in the heavenly Sanctuary to its own substitute priesthood. [The phrase “the abomination that maketh desolate” (Daniel 11:31; 12:11) is, in this case, that erroneous system of worship – set up in 508 A.D. and made oppressive in 538 A.D. by Emperor Justinian’s decree.]
[see Ezekiel, chapter 8 for details of the abominations received into Jerusalem]. Such abominations have been received into the Papal church and her daughters!
The above is a principle for a repeat of prophecies concerning the two phases of the Roman Empire, symbolized by the 2 legs of the image of Daniel 2. As the two arms symbolized 2 kingdoms, the Medes and the Persians, so the two legs symbolize Pagan and Papal Rome.
Jesus prophesied, Luke 21:20: “And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.” This was fulfilled by the Roman attack on Jerusalem and Judea in A.D. 70.
Matthew 24:15, however, pointed to a second event, yet to happen, which will be a repeat of that prophecy in our near future; the abomination that maketh desolate spoken of by Daniel the prophet (Daniel 11:31; Daniel 12:11) having been just “set up” in A.D. 508!
A further repeat of prophecy regarding the 2 phases of the Roman Empire is that concerning the Trumpets of Revelation, chapters 8 and 9.
The Pagan Roman Empire was broken up into the 10 divisions of the 10 “horns” in the 1st fulfillment of that prophecy. The (Spiritual) Holy Roman Empire will be broken up even more terribly: (the “time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time.” – Daniel 12:1) in the 2nd fulfillment of that prophecy! Principle: “History repeats itself,” as type and antitype.
